National Data Period Two, 2010

Comparison of compliance rates by jurisdiction including national data and the private sector 2009 - 10 YTD

Comparison of compliance rates by jurisdiction shows an upward trend in most jurisdictions towards 70% compliance.  Queensland which had an 11 opportunities program, has completed the introduction and training for the 5 Moments and will submit data for publication from the September-December 2010 audit.

Figure 1 depicts the compliance rates for each of the 5 Moments. The highest rates of compliance were after completion of a procedure (77.2%) and after touching a patient (75.7%). 
Figure 2 depicts the compliance rate by healthcare worker professional group. The highest compliance rates were nurses (72.7% for Registered Nurses and 68.8% for student nurse).

Figure 1 depicts the compliance rates for each of the 5 Moments. The highest rates of compliance were after completion of a procedure (79.1%) and after touching a patient (76.0%). 
Figure 2 depicts the compliance rate by healthcare worker professional group. The highest compliance rates were nurses (73.6% for Registered Nurses and 68.9% for student nurse).
